Na motivy novely Miguela de Cervantese, tato hra kombinuje fakta a fikci. Začíná uvězněním samotného Cervantese, který na svou obhajobu zinscenuje příběh Dona Quijota – příběh je inspirovaný skutečným soudním procesem se Cervantesem jako kacířem. Během vyprávění se setkáte s dalšími postavami včetně Sancho Panzy, Antonie, Aldonzy a uslyšíte jedny z nejúžasnějších muzikálových písní jako “The Impossible Dream”, která se stala klasikou.

Based on the novel by Miguel de Cervantes, this play within a play mixes fact and fiction, starting with Cervantes himself in prison, staging the story of Don Quixote as his defense – inspired by the real-life trial of Cervantes as a heretic. Along the way, we meet a collection of wonderful characters, including Sancho Panza, Antonia, Aldonza and hear some of the greatest songs ever to grace the stage – including “The Impossible Dream”, now a standard classic.
